The match calendar for the coming season is now live, and we are looking forward to welcoming familiar faces and new anglers alike. Our matches are known across Somerset for being friendly, well-run and — most importantly — fair, with plenty of fish spread evenly across the lakes.
How our matches work
Matches run on set dates through the season, with pegs drawn on the morning. Whether you are chasing the top of the leaderboard or just fancy a sociable day’s fishing with a bit of an edge, everyone is welcome. Because the fish are well spread across Tile, Brick and Canal Lakes, every peg has a genuine chance on the day.
What to expect on the day
Arrive in good time for the draw, set up in your allotted peg, and fish to the whistle. Our regulars are a welcoming bunch, so if it is your first match you will find plenty of friendly advice on offer. Keepnets are allowed during matches, and fish are weighed in at the end before being returned carefully to the water.
A track record of great sport
Our results speak for themselves — consistent weights, a real variety of winning pegs, and plenty of different names lifting the top spot through the season. You can browse recent winners, weights and pegs on our Match Results page, which we update after every match.
