The nearby RSPB reserve at Ham Wall and the wider Avalon Marshes are famous for their winter starling murmurations, when hundreds of thousands of birds wheel across the evening sky – an unforgettable sight. In summer, look out for herons, egrets, marsh harriers and dragonflies as you explore.
