Glastonbury

Few places are as steeped in legend as Glastonbury. Rising above the Somerset Levels, Glastonbury Tor and its St Michael’s Tower offer breathtaking views for miles around – well worth the climb on a clear day.

At its foot lie the atmospheric ruins of Glastonbury Abbey, long associated with the legends of King Arthur and the Isle of Avalon, and the peaceful Chalice Well gardens. The town itself is full of character, with a High Street lined with independent shops, cafes and galleries – a wonderful place to wander and soak up the atmosphere.
